Recognising Pink Samadhi Quartz

Like Clear Quartz, Samadhi Quartz is a silicon dioxide mineral with a six-sided crystal structure and pointed terminations, and forms in clusters of sheer, transparent pink crystals ranging in size from very small to quite large.

Also known as Himalayan or Nirvana Quartz, these light pink, translucent crystals are usually found in twos.  Samadhi also means a joining together, so the name also applies to its geological formation. It’s usually found in a cluster formation, raw and natural from the mining site.

Samadhi Quartz has a hardness of 7-7.5 on the Mohs scale.
